Who We Are
The Proposal Development Unit consists of experienced proposal developers and community outreach professionals located in the Office of Institutional Advancement. We support NCCU’s faculty, staff and students by providing information, training, liaison, advocacy, funding information and proposal development services designed to enhance competitiveness for funding opportunities. 

Our Mission
The mission of the Office of Institutional Advancement is to cultivate, solicit and manage external funding sources, providing accountability for those funds and attentive stewardship of internal and external constituent groups, in accordance with the strategic needs of North Carolina Central University.

The Office of Institutional Advancement supports the Chancellor and is responsible to represent the mission, values and promise of the University to its multiple constituents and to increase and enhance the image and visibility of NCCU in ways that generate understanding, enthusiasm and commitment to the University’s strategic vision and goals. This office seeks to develop strategic alliances with leaders of businesses, foundations and government organizations as well as of boards and alumni groups in order to implement fund-raising initiatives.
